Setelah Windows 8 Developer Preview, kini Microsoft merilis versi terbaru "Calon" Windows 8 Final. Sebelum memasuki versi akibat Microsoft menyediakan sample Windows 8 yang dapat dinikmati gratis yang diberi nama Windows 8 Consumer Preview. Kabarnya Windows 8 Consumer Preview ini lebih manis daripada Windows 7 dan Windows 8 Developer Lho.
